Andrew Haas is a designer from the United States and graduate of the Emergent Technologies and Design Programme at the Architectural Association (AA) in London, earning his Master of Architecture with Thesis Distinction. Focusing on biologically inspired, computationally driven approaches to design, he has taught Digital Technology and Media Studies courses at the AA; seminars for the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), Tsinghua University, and the Laboratory for Computational Design in Beijing; instructed AA Visiting Schools in Mumbai, Pune, Moscow, Penang and Shanghai; and was a cluster Co-Champion for the 2014 Smart Geometry Conference hosted in Hong Kong. Professionally, he has gained experience at the Dynamic City Foundation in Beijing, OCEAN.CN Design Consultancy Network in Hong Kong, and Zaha Hadid Architects in London. He is currently with the Digital Design Group at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) in New York, where he is also a participant in AIA NY Technology Committee, a member of the Emerging Leader Council for the Regional Plan Association, and the founder and co-organizer of the New York Digital Design Community. He was most recently appointed as the Co-Director of the AA Visiting School New York, to commence in the summer of 2019.
Daniel Inocente is a Designer from the United States and holds a professional Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (Sci-Arc). His current work revolves around developing design methodologies for performative enclosure systems, automation strategies and interdisciplinary research applied to a wide range of projects. His cumulative professional experience includes working for Gehry Partners on the Guggenheim Museum in Abu Dhabi, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, Gehry Technologies on the Battersea Station Development in London and HKS LINE. He has also been invited to participate in multiple workshops and conferences including Facades Plus (DC, NYC, DAL) and Dassault Systemes Design in the Age of Experience (Milan) together with Zaha Hadid Architects, Morphosis, SHoP, Zahner and Kengo Kuma. Daniel is now with the Digital Design Group at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) in New York.
Jan Klaška is a licensed Architect from the Czech Republic and holds a Master of Architecture and Urban Design Degree from the Technical University in Prague. His focus lays in advanced computation design and methods, specifically in the advanced development of form and rationalisation of complex geometry. Jan has worked internationally for several high-profile firms, in Prague, Vienna and most recently in London for Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA). Since joining ZHA in 2013, Jan has collaborated on variety of commissions and competitions, ranging from interior urban design, sport venues, cultural projects, and residential and office buildings. He is currently working on a residential project in Manhattan, which he has been involved with from its design inception to final design stages.
